Visit of South Korea during two working stays in 2009 and 2010. In November 2009 I had a short stopover in Seoul and was afterwards travelling to Ulsan in the south-east of South Korea for a working stay (and some sightseeing at the weekend). In August 2010 then I was for a different customer in Seoul and was facing hot weather. One conclusion: there are cold winters, hot and sweltry summers and very friendly and helpfully people of Korea! A must is the visit of Lotte Supermarket, you will find tiny temple surrounded by skyscrapers, impressive Chang Deok Gung Palace, Seoul Tower, Petroglyph Museum, Jangsaengpo Whale Museum, Eonyang Amethyst cave, petroglyphs in Cheonjeon-Ri, Ulju, steam locomotive in the Imjingak Park, Dorasan Station - Pyeongyang, Deoksugung Palace, Jogyesa Buddhist Temple, Yeouido - Hangang Park (Ichon Riverside Park), and much more. Very impressive was the visit of the DMZ and of the Third Tunnel (the third from South Korea found, from North Korea established tunnel for planned infiltration). Get more information at
DMZ here. Anyway, South Korea is worth a travel anyway!
