Flying from Zurich via Munich directly to Cape Town and at the morning pickup of the booked SUV. After a few days in Capetown with the recommended highlights as Cape of Good Hope, beach Muizenberg, Penguine at Boulders, exotic plants in Kirstenbosch, Chapmans’s Peak Drive, Waterfront in Cape Town, Table Rock we drove to the wine area. There we visited Stellenbosch and Franschhoek, had yummy meals and tried fantastic wines. After that enjoyment we went for some thrills to Hermanus for shark-diving and for whale watching, at the latter one we saw plenty of delphines. From there we took Route 62 to Oudtshoorn, slept one night and drove the Swartbergpass via Cape Town. After one night in the hotel in Cape Town we got our plane towards Kruger Park. Keith pick us up and brought us to his Raptor Retreat Lodge (superior!). With Keith we went in the morning and in the afternoon on Safari tour (fantastic). The next day we visited with a driver exclusively for us the Kruger Park while having around 40 degrees Celcius. The wild life is as it is, however; we had luck as we saw the “Big Five”! |
