February 2013 after the Egyptian Revolution and before, some in-between the Egyptian protests I took the chance to visit Egypt (by having very fair prices). I enjoyed one week cruising on the Nile with stops at plenty of historical monuments and afterwards one week relaxing at the beach. Any amazing, sometimes the view to the sights were not blocked by fellow tourists, what gave best photo position for me. However, some places were overcrowded even, I will not imaging how this looks like in regular times. Especially the Nile cruise having stops at 3,000 to 4,500 years old relict is impressive! Thebes, Luxor, Colossi of Memnon, Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut, temple of Ramses II, Hathor-Temple of Nefertari, Libyan Desert, Assuan, Nubian village, unfinished obelisk at the granite stone quarry, Aswan High Dam, Kom Ombo with mummified crocodiles in the museum, Horus Temple in Edfu, Karnak Temple, Temple of Rames II, and much more. Last week was beach time in Hurghada in a separate hotel complex, unfortunately crowded with Russians without behaviours.... |
