On 22nd December 2018 I started my tour towards Balkan. At the one hand I did not want to spend the Christmas time here in Germany and on the other hand I wanted to explore some new countries.

Therefore, I started the project 4 countries and 4 capitals within one trip (actually I could state 5 as I passed the capital of Slovenia, too).

Zagreb during Advent is an absolutely MUST as here you see vidid city life as you know it from mediterian sea. Afterward I visited the White City (Beograd) or Belgrad which offers slightly iron-curtain feelings, but nevertheless nice. Here I mainly enjoyed the fort with great sight to river Danube. A short visit in Sarajevo to upgrade my historica knowledge: here the first world war (WWI) was started. A short stop in Mostar brought me to war scenario of a closer timeframe. Last but not least I went to Podgorica in Montenegro where the special location of Podgorica suprised me much....
