Travel impressions: 2009 - Travel impressions Thailand Display pictures of the country: Pictures per year: |
Personal information: I first visited Thailand in 2009 and was thrilled. Fantastic weather, friendly people, delicious and spicy food (I ate a lot on vacation back then and didn't gain any weight). On my first trip, I visited Bangkok, the south, James Bond Island, the beautiful island of Koh Bulon just off the coast of Malaysia, and the north with Chiang Mai and other cities. After that, it wasn't until 2018 that I returned to Thailand. But since then, I've been back very often and enjoyed Bangkok, the islands, and the north. Driving on the left is always a challenge, but some Thais said I was a crazy driver. So I guess I fit right in. Now I know the country and its people better and often notice a fixation on money (which I hadn't really noticed as a tourist). Nevertheless, I love being here and especially enjoy escaping the cold and dark Germany at the turn of the year. |
